Porcelain Veneers

 
Porcelain Veneers are a great way to hide imperfections such as stains, chips, imperfections and cracks.  Patients also use them when desiring a better shape and alignment in the teeth.

They are made of tooth-colored porcelain and are bonded onto the front of the teeth.  They are strong, completely natural looking and last a long time.

There are 3 stages of applying Porcelain Veneers at Mooresville Dentist.

• First, the dentist will evaluate the tooth or teeth that need to be replaced with veneers.  Once that is complete, your dentist will discuss the phases of the treatment plan.
• At your second appointment, a conservative preparation is performed on the selected teeth.  The dentist will make a customized mold that will be used to create your porcelain veneers.  Temporary veneers will be given to wear for a few weeks while the permanent ones are being made in the laboratory.
• The final appointment will consist of the veneers being bonded with a tooth-colored cement to the front surface of your teeth.  It may take a week to get used to the new size and shape of your teeth but you will absolutely love them as your own.
